Easy recipes to make sweets at home

These homemade treats are quick and easy to make. Agar – agar is available in bakeries or can be replaced by a sachet of unflavored gelatin. In this case, the procedure is the same.

Ingredients

  • Fruit puree of choice 250 grams.
  • Water 200 milliliters.
  • Sugar 150 grams.
  • Agar-agar 8 grams.

Preparation

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. When it boils, add the agar-agar and stir for a few seconds.
  2. On the other hand, make the puree with the chosen fruit. It can be strawberry, orange, apple, peach, etc.
  3. Add the sugar to the fruit puree and mix everything well. Add to the still boiling water, mixing non-stop with a wooden spoon until the ingredients come together and the preparation takes consistency. Remove from fire.
  4. Spread silicone molds or ice cube trays with neutral oil – it could be sunflower oil – so that the treats do not stick. Place the mixture there and let it cool down to room temperature.
  5. Reserve in the refrigerator for a few hours. The treats will take on the desired consistency.
  6. Then  unmold and pass each piece through sugar. It is possible to keep up to a week in closed containers.

Pop cakes

If there are remains of cake at home, a good way to recycle them is to prepare some delicious pop cakes. Children love them and they are perfect for decorating sweet tables at birthdays and events.

Ingredients

For the base:

  • Sponge cake to taste.
  • Dulce de leche, condensed milk or nutella.

To decorate:

  • White or black covered chocolate.
  • Sparks or colored noodles.
  • Artificial colors.
  • Wooden chopsticks.

Preparation

  1. Crumble the sponge cake,  place the crumbs in a container and add whatever has been chosen as the base, be it dulce de leche, condensed milk or nutella.
  2. Join well with your hands until it is like a manageable dough.
  3. Make small balls and insert a toothpick to each one.
  4. Place them on a tray and take them to the refrigerator so that the dough hardens. Meanwhile, prepare the topping.
  5. Melt the icing chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds. Another alternative is to place it in a metal saucepan and melt it in a double boiler. If the chocolate is white, divide it into several small containers and add a couple of drops of artificial food coloring.
  6. Remove the cake balls from the refrigerator and dip them in the melted chocolate first. Then sprinkle with the sprinkles or colored noodles.

  • Bitter chocolate 150 milliliters.
  • Water 150 milliliters.
  • Sugar 150 grams.
  • A pinch of salt.

Preparation

  1. Grease a 20-centimeter square pan;  reserve it.
  2. In a bowl, place the dulce de leche, the pinch of salt and the vanilla. Mix without beating and reserve.
  3. In a separate pot, place the sugar, honey and water. Mix so that the sugar grains disappear. Bring the pot to moderate heat until it reaches the point of caramel, but without hardening.
  4. Combine the dulce de leche with the sugar and honey caramel. Mix until thickened.
  5. Melt the chopped chocolate in the microwave.
  6. Pour the mixture into the greased mold and, with a spatula, spread well so that it is even. Let cool for a few minutes to be able to spread with the previously melted chocolate.
  7. Cool at room temperature for about an hour.
  8. Once cold, the caramel hardens. Unmold it and cut it into small squares. They can be kept wrapped in cellophane and in a closed container.
